27 Aug Work on R. Maduvvari South Harbour is well underway

Work on R. Maduvvari South Harbour is well underway, with overall 29% project progress. Dredging operations are currently ongoing with 95% completion. The rock boulders needed for the construction of breakwater has been transferred to the project site on 25 August 2020.

Scope of the works involve dredging operations of 72,800 cbm, quay wall construction of 566m; revetment construction of 135m, installation of 2,825 sqm of pavement; installation of navigation lights and ramp construction. The estimated value of the project is MVR 68.66 million. The project was mobilized on 29th November 2019.
