K. Vilimale’ coastal protection project was awarded to MTCC on 1st October 2014, by the Ministry of Environment and Energy. It consisted of dredging of 4,148 cbm harbour basin and new channel, construction of 55m breakwater, construction of 76m concrete quay wall, and navigation lights on the entrance channel. The project was completed on 20th December 2016.
