About This Project

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) has been contracted to construct K. Himmafushi
Harbor Phase 2 on 29th December 2019.

Director general of Planning Ministry Fathimath Shana Faarooq and the COO of MTCC Shahid Hussain Moosa signed the relevant agreement for the project.

Scope of the project includes

• Dredging of 18,800 cubic meters
• Channel dredging of 9900 cubic meters o
• Construction of a 38 meter breakwater
• Construction of 172 meters of quay wall
• Construction of 287 meters of revetment
• Construction of 772 square meters of pavement
• Installation of 11 harbor lights, 04 channel lights, 10 mooring blocks and 01 ramp.

The project is estimated to cost MVR 24,602,989.02. and is expected to be completed in 365 days.
