Work on Design and Build of Sh. Komandoo Harbour is well underway, with overall 89% project progress. Concrete casting of pavement area, casting curb line along the pavement area, and installation of settlement tanks for the project is currently ongoing, with 50%, 79% and 89% completion, respectively.

Scope of works for the project include channel dredging operations of 14,731cbm; maintenance and new harbor basin dredging operations of 35,348cbm; the construction of a 190m quay wall; a 12m breakwater; and a 20m revetment. Additionally, the installation of navigation lights, installation of street lights and construction of 1,991sqm of paved area will also be undertaken. The estimated value of the project is MVR 29.41 million. The project was mobilized on 08th December 2019.
