Maldives Transport and Contracting Company, (MTCC) was incorporated in 1980 and is currently the longest serving public company in the Maldives. The company was established with the objective to contribute towards the development of infrastructure and transport service in the country. Since then MTCC has positioned itself as one of the strongest business entities in the country with a diversified range of products and services, with a work force of over 3000 employees across the country.

 

Today the company offers a diverse range of services such as construction and project management services, logistical operations, modern transport services, engineering and docking service and a plethora of reputed product as, Yanmar and Suzuki marine engines, Castrol lubricants and PPG protective coatings.

 

MTCC’s success lie in its business strategy, which revolves around the desire to provide quality and reliable products and services, implementation of stringent quality control systems, adoption of the latest technological innovations and a relentless efforts to recruit and retain qualified employees.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

MTCC is committed to fulfilling its corporate responsibility and to give back to the community. Corporate social responsibility has remained an integral part of MTCC’s decision-making since its inception. MTCC gives great importance to engage with communities across the country by contributing directly to their needs. The contributions made by the Company to communities, in partnership with the people, local councils and non-governmental organizations at islands where the Company’s projects are conducted, are made as part of MTCC’s social responsibility.

 

At MTCC the approach to CSR is to use the Company’s resources, expertise and know-how to forge partnerships that will in turn create a positive impact in the communities in which the Company operates.
