30 Jun The reconstruction of S. Maradhoo harbour breakwater is nearing completion
The reconstruction of S. Maradhoo harbour breakwater is nearing completion, with overall 91% project progress. Revetment works for the project are currently ongoing, with 54% completion. We also completed quay wall capping beam works and paving works needed for the project in June 2020.
The S. Maradhoo harbour breakwater reconstruction project consists of the removal of existing rock boulder breakwater; dredging operations of 18,873cbm; construction of a 340m revetment; a 419m quay wall and bridge construction.
The estimated value of the project is MVR 25.5 million. The project was awarded to us on 30th June 2019 with subsequent mobilization on 3rd November 2019.
