The installation of storm water works is ongoing for B. Eydhafushi major roads construction project, with storm water tanks being placed at 20m intervals. The excavation for pipe placement is carried out by trained staff to meet engineering requirements.
Overall, the B. Eydhafushi roads construction project consists of detailed surveys of existing sidewalk and design of asphalt pavements; design and construction of storm water lift stations including gravity pipe network; and a cement stabilized base course.
The scheme, mobilized on 22nd April 2019, includes installation of street lights; speed breakers and marked road lines. Overall scope of the MVR 38.3 million scheme uses a storm water system to prevent flooding of roads provides users with a clean and safe environment.
