‪The construction of major roads for R. Dhuvaafaru road construction project is well underway, with 54% project progress. The road drainage system designed for R. Dhuvaafaru is an infiltration system which ensures rainwater is infiltrated into the freshwater lens of the island‬ instead of pumping out water to sea. The system is similar to the infiltration stormwater management system used in Hulhumale’ Phase 1. The project will see the construction of all major roads in R. Dhuvaafaru. ‬
