Sh. Noomaraa Harbor Development Project is well underway. New harbor basin dredging operations are ongoing with 51% completion. First shipment of concrete blocks required for quay wall construction have been delivered to the site.
Scope of works for the project include 34,386cbm new harbor basin dredging operations, 5,076cbm maintenance dredging operations, 2,920cbm channel dredging operations, repair of 32m existing quay wall, construction of 177m quay wall, 303m breakwater, 64m revetment, 120m x 2m concrete jetty, 11m x 11m concrete ramp, and an access platform, installation of 1,652sqm harbor pavement, harbor lights and mooring bouys. The value of the project is MVR 53.3 million.
