The project to construct the harbor of AA Himandhoo to modern standards was handed over to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company, MTCC by Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure in April 2019.

Scope of the project included

Conducting dredging and excavation works of 28,030-cubic-meter

Construction of a 372-meter quay wall

Construction of a 405-meter breakwater

Construction of a 141-meter revetment

Construction of a bridge; a ramp and a 3-meter width concrete jetty
