MTCC has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation to implement Phase 1 of the “Malé Taxi Line” initiative. The project aims to introduce a 100% electric vehicle (EV) taxi fleet, promoting a sustainable and eco-friendly taxi service in the Greater Malé Region. Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Hon. Mohamed Ameen, attended the ceremony as the chief guest and highlighted the project’s significance in regulating and improving taxi standards, availability, and safety. Director General, Ahmed Shameem signed on behalf of the Ministry, while Managing Director, (Retd.) DCP Ahmed Saudee signed on behalf of MTCC. This partnership reflects MTCC’s ongoing commitment to advancing sustainable transport solutions in the Maldives.
