Excavation work for H. Dh. Hanimaadhoo harbour upgrade is now underway, following EIA approval for the project in early May, 2020.
We are streamlining our work to overcome logistical challenges associated with internal and external Covid-19 precautions and complete the project.
The scheme for this project involves dredging and excavation operations of 53,523cbm along with construction of a 355m breakwater, a 50m revetment; 90m new groynes, and a 270m quay wall.
The scheme also includes a 1,015sqm paved area and lights installation. Overall scope of works for the MVR 57.1 million project is targeted to be completed within 10 months.
